The Enchanted Forest is a spectacular outdoor sound and light show which takes place at Faskally Wood near Pitlochry. Spectacular lighting effects are used to illustrate the theme as visitors make their way around the forest. Visitors are treated to a series of spectacular and choreographed mini sound and light shows while they follow the path around the forest.
The show is only on once a year so you must be prepared to plan for your visit and book as soon as possible. There were 45,000 visitors in Oct 2014!
Some TIPs on getting the most out of your Enchanted Forest Experience:-
1.Book as early as you can – the sooner you book the better your price (it does sell out). If you can go during the week, you will get an even better deal.
2.Book as early a show as you can – better still book a twilight show (this allows you to see the forest in the evening light and you can go around again, as it gets dark to see it all over again).
3.Take your time, as you go round – remember there are a series of shows, all of different timings and sequences, that include music, lighting and often water or some other element too. Those who just walk round, miss so much. Make sure you get the most out of your visit.
4.Children – make sure Mum and Dad get you a ticket for the story telling in the Yurt (£1) – well worth while. You can sit on the lovely carpets and cushions and hear well told stories by professional story tellers.
5.You can walk round the lochen in a clockwise or counter clockwise direction – if you have time, you are recommended to do both.
